Gourd Necklaces work area
I am hoping that this photo is shown before the photo of the finished necklaces. I am computer challenged on a daily basis. This is part of my work table and shows the unfinished, unstained gourd, one with just the knotless netting and one almost finished with the beading. It is such fun because each of them has their own personality.. just like people.. I don't name them because that is for the new owner to do.
I am a mixed media fiber/quilt artist who loves to work with gourds, and jewelry. I am easily distracted with the next project, and have many going at one time. I have been teaching Fabric Dyeing and Beginning gourd art for many years. I am blessed with my own home studio. We live in the rolling hills near Yosemite National Park, in central Calif. U.S.A. This is a place of Inspiration, Blue Skies and Great Friends. I volunteer with several organizations, and have memberships in P.E.O., Coarsegold Historical So., Sierra Art Trails, Madera Circle Gallery, Yosemite Western Artist, Timberline Gallery and Sierra Mountain Quilters. I teach at my home studio and at local quilt gatherings.
